Borrowing Facilities

Students can borrow

Up to eight books at a time for 3 weeks. Books can be renewed twice.
1 DVD at a time for 1 week - no renewal.
1 Audio book at a time for 3 weeks.

We charge fines for overdues:

5p/day for books.
£1/day for DVDs.

Reference Section

A wide range of reference books (dictionaries, encyclopedias and textbooks for your courses)
Magazines and Newspapers
CD-Roms to use in the LRC

Library Catalogue (Heritage Online Catalogue)

All resources available in the LRC can be retrieved through the library catalogue, accessible on any machine in the college and from home. You can search by title, author, keywords or subject.

Guidance for Students.

There are seating spaces for 54 students, most as private study desks
Students must hand in their ID card at the Issue Desk and respect the evironment of silent study at all times. No eating or drinking (apart from bottled water).

Help Desk

The Help Desk is manned by LRC staff during most opening hours. We are here to help you locate books, find information and search Online Resources and the Internet. Do not hesitate to ask us for assistance!

Photocopying

There is a photocopier for student use in the LRC. Blank photocopy cards are for sale for 50p. These can be topped up at the price of 5p for 2 units.

Audio Facilities

There are DVD and video players for use in the LRC. Headphones are available from the counter.
